Physical fitness can have variety of different effects on the body, both positive and negative. Two types of effects are called Short and Long Term.
Short Term Effects
- Supports the nervous system, making you feel more awake and alert
- Increased mood and positive feelings
- Promotes better sleep
These outcomes are what you want to achieve from exercise, the more you exercise the better you will feel about yourself and live a healthier life
Long Term Effects
- Decreased chance of heart diseases
- Stronger bones / muscles
- Improved cardiovascular and muscular endurance
Similarly to the short term effects listed above, these effects are what you want to achieve form exercise however you might not see or notice these changes. On average it takes 6-8 weeks for these changes to happen to your body but even though you cant see them doesn't mean that they aren't happening to your body.
