As a adolescent friendship's and relationship's are one of the most important things in your life, and being physically inactivity could have a huge impact on this.

A mental effect affects a variety of different things in your life and as a teenager this is when your emotions are the worst. Mental effects affect your brain and your brain decides the way we think, feel, speak and act.

Short And Long Term Effects

Physical fitness can have variety of different effects on the body, both positive and negative. Two types of effects are called Short and Long Term.There are two different types of sustained effects and these are long term and short term.
A short term effect is something that will last for a short period of time and can easily be maintained/changed.
A long term effect is the oppisite of a short term effect. These effects are difficult to get rid off however they may not affect you until later on in your life

Short Term Effects

  • Unhealthy body weight
  • Loss of both cardiovascular and muscular endurance
  • May increase/decrease blood pressure to an unhealthy amount


These outcomes from not exercising can be changed, they aren't difficult to prevent them or to change them for the better.


Long Term Effects

  • More likely to catch noncommunicable disease
  • Weaken bones/ Osteoporosis
  • Increased chances of depression and anxiety


These effects are really difficult to get rid of, however these effects aren't likely to come into your life until you are older, around the age of 30
