A mental effect affects a variety of different things in your life and as a teenager this is when your emotions are the worst. Mental effects affect your brain and your brain decides the way we think, feel, speak and act.
Increased Stress Levels
When you exercise a chemical called endorphins are released from the brain. This chemical makes your stress and worry levels decrease and your happy and calm levels increase. However, not exercising means that the amount of endorphins released are reduced. Due to this your stress levels will increase.
Increased Chance Of Depression Or/And Anxiety
Reduced Concentration Levels
Not taking part in physical activity can decrease your concentration levels and this can affect you in may ways. You may not be able to concentrate in school, which disrupts your intellectual development. As well as this it may affect your decision making skills which will change your everyday life.
