Sam and Layla

Sam, a 15 year old boy, was struggling with his mental health. He had major anxiety about exams and was always on edge.
Sam always had an interest in football, he had always watched it on the TV but he never had played it.
He opened up to one of his school teachers and they recommended to him to start playing football
He joined a local football team and thrived in it. After a few months of training Sam became one of the best players on the team, as well as making a lot of new friendships He also became happier in himself and his anxiety levels dropped
As a result from this, he became more concentrated and dedicated to his exams and he passed all of them

Layla, a 13 year old girl had always been extremely overweight her whole life, as well as struggling with asthma and type 2 diabetes.
After many visits to the doctors her GP suggested to start increasing her physical activity levels.
Layla, and her mum started with home workouts, created by Moving Matters to loose the excess weight and then gradually increased the amount they did
Although Layla had asthma it didn't stop her from putting maximum effort into all different types of intensity exercise
3 years later, Layla is down to a healthy weight, however still struggles with type 2 diabetes. She still exercises at her house with her mum 3 times a week and she loves it.
